President

Daphne Caldwell | president@omegaiotazeta.org

Soror Daphne Caldwell, MSW, was inducted into Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. on November 30, 2014 through the Xi Mu Zeta chapter of Chicago, Illinois. Prior to retiring in 2011, she served 30 years at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital in Chicago as a social work professional. She continues to use her background to serve Zeta in various capacities at the local and regional levels. Her honors include the 2015 “Spirit of Zeta Award”, 2016 “Dove Award” and “Chapter Pearl.” She joined Omega Iota Zeta in July 2016 and has continued her service leadership in the name of Zeta in Kansas City. She was named 2017-18 Zeta of the Year for her service as 2nd Vice President and Sisterhood Committee chair of Omega Iota Zeta.

Soror Meeks has been a Zeta for 12 years. She was inducted through the Rho Sigma Chapter at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in April 2008. Her leadership experience includes serving as president of Rho Sigma chapter and UMKC National Pan-Hellenic Council, 2018-2020 state secretary and 1st vice president over membership of Omega Iota Zeta. She uses her degree in education to serve as a sixth-grade math and science teacher in Kansas City and an after school youth mentor for girls. She is a strong advocate for longtime Zeta national partner March of Dimes, having experienced the pre-term birth of her legacy daughter in 2017. She is married to a brother of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

Soror Holoman was inducted into Zeta on April 23, 1999, through the Xi Beta Chapter on the campus of Lincoln University in Missouri. She joined the Omega Iota Zeta chapter over six years ago. Her favorite part of Zeta is doing service projects dealing with the community and sisterhood.

Shakera Scott

Soror Scott was born and raised in Kansas City Mo. She was inducted into the Omega Iota Zeta Chapter on December 05, 2016.  Soror Scott has attended conferences on State, Regional, and National levels.

Soror Evans graduated from Howard University in 2016 with her bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in political science. She is currently pursuing her master’s in social work at the University of Kansas Edwards Campus in Overland Park, Kansas. She was inducted into Zeta on May 23, 2017 through Omega Iota Zeta and, shortly after, took on the role of corresponding secretary prior to being elected chapter secretary in 2018. She also leads the Omega Iota Zeta scholarship committee.
